Built for Edmonton

Local homes, local know-how

Climate, age and building type all change what is worth a closer look.

  • Freeze and thaw

Edmonton winters are hard on foundations, grading and roofs. We look closely at how water moves around and into the house.

  • Older homes

Mature neighbourhoods can hide older wiring, aging plumbing and past renovations. We point out what to ask about.

  • Condos

For condos we focus on your unit and the shared parts we can see, and flag what to check in the condo documents.

Questions people ask

Straight answers to the most common questions about home inspections.

What does a home inspection include?

A visual, non-invasive look at the home's major systems: roof, structure, exterior, plumbing, electrical, heating, insulation and ventilation, and interior. You get a written report with photos explaining what was found and what to do next.

Should I attend the inspection?

Yes, if you can. Walking through the home together is the easiest way to understand the findings and ask questions while you are standing in front of them.

Can you inspect a home in winter?

Yes. Most of an inspection is unaffected by winter. Snow can limit what is visible on the roof and around the grading, and the report says exactly what could not be seen.

What if my condition deadline is soon?

Mention the deadline when you get in touch. We will tell you right away whether we can fit the inspection in before it.
